St Augustine’s college emerged victorious when they came toe to toe with city rivals Mfanstipim school in National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) showdown on Saturday.
According to show pundits, Mfanstipim School failed to take revenge on their arch-nemesis/ defending champions, St Augustine’s college at the regional elimination stage.
Although Mfanstipim mounted a stiff competition to kick St. Augustine’s college out of the competition, the defending champions came to the race armed to teeth to defend the title at all cost.
They made it known that being national defending champions counts for something.
From the start of the first contest which featured rivals Kwabotwe whom they eliminated at the one-eighth stage in 2019, it was clear that magic was still at work.
Mfantsipim with 46pts dashed Jukwa SHT’s hope of making it to the prelims while Abakrampa SHS scored 20pts, Senya SHS got 10pts and Assin Nsuta SHS 5 points.
The contest ended in:
St. Augustine’s College: 41pts
