My best skill was that I was coachable. I was a sponge and aggressive to learn.” — Michael Jordan.
The future belongs to those willing to acquire and put their skills to creative use. The best thing one can do for themselves is develop relevant skill sets in today’s world. Acquiring new skills is crucial to one’s personal growth and might come in handy when you least expect it.
There is no age limit when it comes to obtaining skills. In recent times, young people have become the force behind some of the best ideas and innovations in the world. Hence, one must possess adequate skills to make a meaningful impact in their chosen field.
Sometimes obtaining formal education is not enough to achieve your desired goals. Honing relevant skills in an area of interest could enhance what you already know.
Thanks to youtube, Seekapor, and the many other learning platforms ( apps) available on the internet today, one does not need much to pick up a new skill. The real challenge is the desire to start and the discipline to stay consistent.
For starters, one must identify areas they might want to pursue a vocation in and the kind of skill set they might need to get there. For instance, aspiring writers or journalists might want to visit seekapor’s page on social media to beef up their writing skills.
In addition, a person must stay consistent in their quest to develop themselves. It is the driving force to keep one on course even in the most uncomfortable environments or situations. Although it is challenging to stay on course, the reward is far more rewarding than giving up midway.
Furthermore, desire to be a lifelong learner. A lifelong learner is never wary of learning and is intentional about how much knowledge they want to acquire. The goal is to submit yourself to receive new information in areas of a person’s desired career.
In effect, get ahead of the game by starting now! Starting and maintaining a new habit can be difficult for most people but, the result could propel one’s dream into uncharted territories. Like Michael Jordan, be coachable. Soak up new knowledge. Be aggressive to learn.
