CRITERIA FOR: I LOVE TO WRITE
AN INITIATIVE TO ENCOURAGE YOUNG WRITERS
Announcement Day: November 15th, 2021 dubbed, “I Love to Write Day”
Duration – November 15th 2021 to February 2022
Topic: Essay must end with “……..and so these are the reasons why I love Christmas”.
Target Age: Eligible to Submit Essays: 10 – 16-year-olds
Proof of age:
Instructions: Essays should not be more than 500 words; scanned with students pictures and sent via email to iwrite@seekapor.com. Essays should be labelled/saved in this format: first and surname of the applicant, age, school, parents name and number, title of the essay.
E.g.
The subject of the Email: I love to write.
Name: AMATE KISSEIH
Age:14
School: Seekapor School
Parents Name and Number: Victor Kisseih – 0211222222
Title of Essay: FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD.
Moderation: Eligible essays will be selected by a panel of writers.
Prizes
Essays will be selected and published in the anthology of 2021 I love to write children’s essay competition. Writers will be presented with certificates. Five stand out essays writers will be invited to an awards programme at the main sponsor’s premises with further prizes –
Aim: Encourage and improve the writing skills of young writers, boost their morale and whip up their interest in writing careers, increase their attention to detail span and also give parents and wards, another thing to be proud of.

Well done! Essay writing promotes critical thinking whereby you reflect on an issue and reach a conclusion. It pushes students to assess different arguments to develop more important positions. All the best.
Always loved to write. Loved writing at 10 but life got in the way for a long time. Good to encourage kids to write.
