IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME THUS TRUST THE PROCESS!

The best advice I gave myself before the year ended,  was to trust the process and not force or hurry things. Everything is a matter of time and how much patience one really has to see an idea come to fruition.

Sometimes one may feel left out when they experience failure in their personal lives while others excel at their endeavours. This feeling can be daunting and could leave a person feeling depressed or down.  While it is ok to feel this way, one must be willing to pull themselves out of this state at all cost.

 I have observed over time that it is not always the case that things don’t work out. Perhaps it wasn’t the right time for you to experience that thing yet. From personal experience, I discovered a little hard work, patience, persistence and resilience is all a person needs to achieve something that they desire.

I learnt the hard way when I was applying for a course at a prestigious school I desired to attend. One of the basic requirements to get accepted into my dream school was to write an entrance exam.  I was determined to ace the exam with flying colours thus I spent hours on end to study each day.

I wrote the exam and results came out but unfortunately for me, I didn’t make the list of applicants who were invited for an interview. I was distraught and would not be consoled. Furthermore, I was depressed for days; I wouldn’t eat my food, interact with people or do all the things I like doing.

I allowed negative thoughts to eat into my soul for days. Nevertheless, upon deeper reflection, I resolved to write the paper again the following year. This time around I passed and I gained admission eventually.

I can’t really pinpoint why I didn’t pass the first time or what I did right the second time because in both instances I studied hard. I concluded that maybe it wasn’t the right time for me to gain admission the first time.  I strongly believe now that the concept of trying again when one fails is a lesson on time and the importance of working hard to make things happen. There is no such thing as overnight success, everything in this world is dependent on time and the amount of patience one truly has to wait for things to fall in place!
