Life in the boarding house is not as bad as people claim it is. They normally emphasize on the negative aspects; the not so fun parts. They go on and on about the hilarious, insane punishments they go through such as kneeling for hours, sleeping on the floor, weeding, scrubbing and so many unpleasant experiences. Yes, all these are part of the things that happen there, but it all depends on you the individual. If you are stubborn, then these and many more are the things you are likely to go through, if that is what it takes to break and mould you into a better person(trust me, the seniors will make it their pleasure).
Apart from that, living in the boarding house is just like living in your own home except that there are no girls/guys in your dormitory, depending on your gender. It can be fun if you want it to be. Yeah. You can play football or basketball for hours, eat what you want so long as you have it in your chop box and sleep for hours if you have nothing to do. However, you also need to remember the reason why you are in the boading house, and that is to study and make good grades at the end of the day. All play and no work makes Jack a dull boy.
Just keep in mind that the boarding house is supposed to train your head, your hands and your heart. Learn when you can but do not forget to make friends and have fun in that journey.
