A couple of weeks back, I woke up to find a WhatsApp Ban on my phone. Yes, temporarily banned for 20mins. Later, I discovered that WhatsApp in its efforts to crack down on the misuse of the messaging app could be the cause.

There are a variety of modified WhatsApp (WhatsApp Mod) applications out there with fully unlocked awesome features. It must be noted that there is always a threat in using a Mod version of any App. Due to policy violation, you may end up getting banned on WhatsApp. The mod versions are more prone to hacks and end up compromising your private data. Therefore, it is recommended that you use any less important number to have a less important conversion on these Apps.

Today we will hit on some of the features these Whatsapp Mods have that we all enjoy so much. Although there are Mod versions of almost every social media platform, this write-up is limited to whatsapp only. The likes of YoWhatsApp, GBWhatsApp, WhatsApp Plus, FMWhatsApp, WhatsAppPrime, OGWhatsApp, ZEWhatsApp amongst many others are examples of Whatsapp Mods and below are some of their  features and more.

  • Enable or disable Blue Ticks
  • You can send files of up to 1GB of size
  • Can add up to 256 members in a Group
  • Share more than 100 HD images at a go
  • Thousands of premium themes
  • Inbuilt App lock
  • Recall & schedule your WhatsApp messages/ Anti-recall messages
  • Hide double tick, blue tick, and online status
  • Multiple Language Support
  • Unlimited WhatsApp Stories
  • Regular Updates
  • File Preview
  • Password lock for particular chats
  • Disable typing indicator
  • Anti Revoke – Deleted Message can be read if the sender deletes.
  • Lock individual chats with fingerprint/pattern
  • Anti-Ban features
  • 5 minutes of video length support

Note that there is no free lunch, there are risks associated with using these apps even though they seem to be very much appealing.

  • The mod versions of WhatsApp are not encrypted and thus whatever messages you send may be read by a 3rd person. Never send banking details and other important personal information. In my opinion, I would not recommend doing so with the authentic one either.
  • Using WhatsApp Plus or GBWhatsApp is not illegal but it is against WhatsApps policies. This may trigger the company to put a permanent ban on your WhatsApp usage.

Kindly note that We do not endorse the Apps nor are we affiliated with Apps in any form. You choose to download and use the app at your own discretion. Do feel free to download and comment on your experience in the comments section.
