Children come as plain and empty. What you put in their heads and how you treat them depends on what they will expect.
As a parent, you should be firm, do not let the child dictate to you. Don’t ask them whether they will eat rice, yam or Spaghetti. If it is Banku you are preparing, let the child eat it.
If he has one ball, let him know he has to keep it well for a while, you don’t keep replacing it because he keeps bursting it. Remember no child died because they were denied toys. Make sure you provide basic need, but wants must be limited and given when deserve, like when they do well in school or put up a good behaviour.
It should be incentivized.
