
Media reports indicate that some parents of Accra Girls Senior Secondary School have stormed the school to withdraw their wards amid suspicion of coronavirus infections in the school.

Earlier reports said that six students from the school have so far been infected by the virus and have placed been in isolation to prevent the disease from spreading
Some parents who spoke to the media said that some of their children suffer from serious respiratory diseases such as asthma thus, staying in school could be detrimental to their health.

Reports also indicate that parents are unwilling to allow wards to stay on campus to continue preparations towards their forthcoming examination due to lack of safety measures.
The Premises of the school is currently secured by security operatives whose duty is to ensure all calm is restored.
Parents, teachers and students are encouraged to exercise all COVID 19 protocols and guidelines to help put an end to the spread of coronavirus.
