Most startups and new companies seek to sell a product or render a service to its user base. Today on spotlight we look at a startup that isn’t your traditional startup.
Developers in Vogue popularly known as DIV is an all-female nonprofit startup that aims to increase the interest of females in STEM education in Ghana and Africa as a whole. They organize coding boot camps among other workshops to equip ladies with the needed technical skills.
They seek to do this through coding boot camps, career development seminars and workshops and what they refer to as “The Value”; this refers to the fact that they do not just teach programming and other technical skills but also give participants the opportunity to work on real-world projects to test and improve the skills of the participants.
