In Ghana, we give thanks in various ways after something significant happens in our lives. An example will be the breaking of bread and wearing of our white frocks to our Churches and Mosques to show appreciation and give gratitude.
On another level, we have various cultural festivals to help us remember and give thanks, like the Homowo festival where the Ga people experienced famine and severe hunger in the course of their migration.
Today is Thanksgiving Day, an annual national holiday in the United States and Canada celebrating the harvest and other blessings of the past year. A Happy Thanksgiving Day to them. We wish them well.
